How a zero-downtime move works

  1. Inventory: every address and app that sends mail, and how much.
  2. Build: your server, keys and certificates, tested end to end.
  3. Dual DNS: SPF authorizes both senders, each with its own DKIM selector; DMARC stays in place.
  4. Switch to SMTP: your app sends over port 587; the old API stays configured as a fallback.
  5. Warm up: shift a growing share of traffic over two to six weeks.
  6. Clean up: remove the old provider's DNS records and cancel the plan.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my suppression list?

No. Export your bounces, unsubscribes and spam complaints from your current provider before switching, and we load them into the new setup so you don't email addresses that bounced or opted out.

Do I have to change email templates?

No. Templates are just HTML. If you build them with a library like React Email or MJML, render them to HTML as you do today and send that over SMTP.

How long until I can cancel my old provider?

Typically two to six weeks. It depends on your volume and how quickly the new IP builds a good reputation. We watch delivery during warm-up and tell you when it's safe.

Can you migrate more than one domain?

Yes. Each domain gets its own DKIM key, and if you want, its own outbound IP so their reputations stay separate.

Sending 250,000+ emails a month?
