Free email health checker
Check any domain's SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX records in seconds, and see which email services it uses.
What the results mean
SPF lists the servers allowed to send as your domain. You can only have one SPF record, and it must stay under 10 DNS lookups (why the limit matters). DKIM signs each message with a key published in DNS (how to set it up). DMARC tells receivers what to do when SPF and DKIM fail, and sends you reports (setup guide). Since 2024, Gmail and Yahoo require all three from bulk senders (the requirements).
This checker doesn't test blocklists: most blocklists refuse lookups from public DNS services, and a naive check reports false alarms. Our deliverability fix includes a proper blocklist and inbox-placement check.
Frequently asked questions
What does the email health checker test?
It looks up your domain's MX records, SPF record (including the number of DNS lookups it needs), DMARC policy and reporting, and DKIM keys on the selectors common providers use. It also tells you which email services your SPF record authorizes.
Why does it say no DKIM key was found when I have one?
DKIM keys live under a selector name that only the sending service knows, like google or s1. The checker tries the common ones. If your provider uses a custom selector, look it up in a message's DKIM-Signature header (the s= value) or in your provider's dashboard.
Does the checker store my domain?
No. It runs in your browser and asks Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS service for the records. Nothing is sent to us.
My score is low. What should I fix first?
Fix anything marked high first: a missing or duplicate SPF record, a missing DMARC record, or SPF over the 10-lookup limit. Our deliverability fix does it for you, or follow the SPF and DMARC guides.
Found problems?
We'll fix them for $199, on whatever provider you use, or move you to your own server.
