How this compares to Resend and SendGrid
As of October 2026, Resend Scale costs $160 for 200,000 emails and $350 for 500,000, up to $1,150 for 2.5 million. SendGrid Pro is about $249 for 300,000 and about $1,099 for 2.5 million. Scale 500k is $249 with a dedicated IP. Below about 200,000 emails a month the hosted APIs are cheaper, and we'll tell you so.

Frequently asked questions
What's included in every Scale plan?
Your own mail server and dedicated IP (two on Scale 1M), a Resend-style API and SMTP, DKIM keys and DNS records for your domains, a managed warm-up, daily monitoring of bounces, complaints and blocklists, and a Claude connector for questions and reports.
What happens if I send more than my plan?
We'll talk to you before anything is blocked, and move you to the next plan or a custom one above a million. Sudden spikes are held for review during warm-up, because a jump in volume on a new IP is the fastest way to land in spam.
When do Scale plans open?
They're in early access now. Join the list by email and we'll contact you to check fit, verify your domain and schedule setup. You don't pay until your server is live.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contract. Plans are month to month.
What's the difference between Scale and Managed Server?
Scale plans run on servers and IPs we provide and operate, with an API, for 250,000+ emails a month. Managed Server is a mail server we build on a VPS in your own name and then monitor, for $499 setup plus $99 a month, at any volume. Server Setup is the same build handed over to you with no monthly fee.
I send fewer than 250,000 emails a month. What should I use?
Honestly, a hosted API like Resend or SendGrid is usually cheaper and delivers well on its shared IPs. If you want your own server for control, privacy or multiple domains, choose Managed Server or Server Setup.
