Your email deliverability, inside Meta Muse
Ask Muse why emails bounced, how Gmail is treating you this week or which domain needs fixing, and get answers from your own sending data.
How to add it to Muse
- In Muse, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it OwnMailServer, paste
https://api.ownmailserver.com/mcpand choose OAuth sign-in. - Sign in to your OwnMailServer account when Muse sends you there, and click Allow.
- Ask a question, like "How did our email do this week?"
Questions you can ask
- "Why did our bounce rate jump yesterday?"
- "Did the password reset to jane@example.com arrive? What happened to it?"
- "Is Outlook delivering our mail more slowly than Gmail this week?"
- "Are SPF, DKIM and DMARC still correct on all our domains?"
- "Who complained about our emails this week, and should we stop mailing them?"
What Muse can see
| Tool | What it returns |
|---|---|
| Account overview | Sending totals for the last 24 hours and 7 days, each domain's DNS status, webhook health, and any automatic pauses or warnings from the last week. |
| Email statistics | Delivery, bounces, complaints and deferrals over any period, by day, by mailbox provider (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo…) or by sending domain. |
| Search and look up emails | Find messages by recipient, subject, status or date, and see every event for one email: queued, sent, delivered, bounced. |
| Bounces and complaints | Recent bounces with the receiving server's reason, split into dead addresses, temporary failures and provider blocks, plus spam complaints from feedback loops. |
| Suppression list | Who you no longer send to and why: hard bounce, complaint, unsubscribe or manual. |
| Domain health | A live check of a sending domain's SPF, DKIM, DMARC and return-path records, with the exact value to publish for anything missing. |
Safe by design
- Read-only. No tool sends email, edits DNS, removes suppressions or changes settings.
- You approve it. Muse only gets access after you sign in to your dashboard and click Allow, and it only ever sees your own account. It never sees your email content or API keys.
- Short-lived and revocable. Access tokens expire after an hour and are renewed in the background. Disconnect Muse from the AI connector page in your dashboard and access stops at once.
Data handling is covered in our privacy policy and terms. Questions: hello@ownmailserver.com.
The connector comes with hosted sending at $0.20 per 1,000 emails, along with a dedicated IP from 200,000 emails a month, automatic IP warm-up and daily monitoring. See pricing.
Hosted sending is in early access: sign up and we'll review your account, usually within one business day. You can add your domain right away. Nothing is charged before we approve you; then it's the $10 setup fee and your first month's $10 minimum.
Frequently asked questions
Does OwnMailServer work with Meta Muse?
Yes. The same read-only MCP server behind our Claude connector works as a Muse custom connector. Add https://api.ownmailserver.com/mcp in Muse, sign in to your OwnMailServer account and approve access, and Muse can answer questions about your delivery, bounces, complaints and domain health.
Can Muse send email or change my settings through it?
No. Every tool is read-only. Muse can look up statistics, messages, bounces, complaints, suppressions and DNS health, but it can't send email, edit DNS, remove suppressions or change your account.
Do I paste an API key into Muse?
No. The connector signs in with OAuth: Muse sends you to your OwnMailServer dashboard, you sign in with an emailed link and click Allow, and Muse gets a short-lived token for your account only. You can disconnect it from the dashboard at any time.
Is it in Muse's connector directory?
Not yet: Meta is onboarding connectors in waves. Until it's listed, you can add it yourself as a custom connector in Muse's settings; it works the same way.
Is the connector included in the price?
Yes. It comes with hosted sending, which is in early access. There's no per-question fee from us.
